Leaded Slag Glass Inverted Dome, Circa 1915
This 8 panel white slag glass inverted dome has cameo
metal relief of floral detail. The dark brown of the
metal is a great contrast to the white slag glass
which is visible through the design of the decoration
in each panel. This inverted dome is quite large,
19 and 1/2 inches in diameter. It would make a great
foyer light in a large entryway or also be the main
light in a larger room, perhaps a Dining room.
The rope effect banding along the top of the bowl
and the flute canopy are also nice details making this
fixture particularly beautiful. There is a light cluster
with three porcelain sockets inside that will provide
plenty of illumination.
